"Arjuna is told: you have the adhikāra to do your duties, but do not be attached to the results. He cannot leave everything for bhakti alone — do your duty, practise bhakti alongside, offer the fruit to Krishna."
When you hear "trust God," it is easy to also hear a second thing nobody said: so I can quit the job, drop my duties, stop trying. Śrī Prem Prayojan Prabhu works this out through Arjuna. Krishna does not send him off to the forest: Arjuna has his own adhikāra — his own measure of readiness — and from that measure he cannot leave everything and simply do bhakti. He is told something else: do your duty, practise bhakti alongside it, stay unattached to the result, and offer the fruit of the work to Krishna. It is not the work that is handed over — it is its fruit. Your hands stay busy with the same task, while the gnawing "what if it fails?" leaves along with the fruit you are no longer holding.
When you take up a task, decide at once whose fruit it is.
