"You start with the basics. Just like learning to play piano: you can't just, like, play a symphony, you have to learn the scales. But once you've learned the scales, then later you don't even need the music … you can just spontaneously compose something."
You listen to a class, something lights up inside — and a week later you can't recall a single thought. Śrī Prem Prayojan Prabhu advises something simple: afterwards write down what you remember, fill in what you missed, look up the verses he quoted. Now you have a script. Speak it once, twice, a third time — and the notes are no longer needed, the topic has become yours. That is how a stock builds up. Then the topics come alive, start interacting, and give birth to new ones you have never heard from anybody. Still you have to start with the basics, as with the piano: first the scales, and after them no sheet music is needed. So make a plan — a long one. Where will you be fifteen years from now?
