"The most powerful, the wealthiest, the strongest and healthiest — all of them were crushed like ants by the wheel of time. Worldly might cannot save the soul from suffering. Another strength is needed — a spiritual one."
We live surrounded by uncertainty, so we build a fortress: savings for a rainy day, a position, the right connections. It's sensible — you feel protected. Widen the picture: history has had no shortage of the most powerful, wealthy and strong people, and every one was crushed like an ant by the wheel of time, kāla-cakra. Worldly might guards the body, not the one inside it, and cannot save the soul from suffering. A strength of another kind is needed — chidbal, spiritual strength (cit — spirit, bala — strength): the power that dispels ignorance and the false "I". You can't store it up like money; it comes when you link yourself to God. Building a fortress isn't wrong — real protection lies elsewhere.
One round — a deposit into the shelter time cannot crush.
