Don't spend your strength proving to yourself or anyone why to believe — that never lights faith. Gurudev says a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still; faith comes not from winning an argument but from sadhu-sanga and kirtan. Remember the pigeon on the chessboard: make the most brilliant, final move and it doesn't care — it just knocks the pieces over and walks off. So it is with a stubborn will: arguing with it is useless.
