It seems there is nowhere higher: Rāmānanda quotes the Gītā's most intimate call — "sarva-dharmān parityajya," give up everything and surrender to Me. And again — "eho bāhya." Not because surrender is small, but because merely parting with dharma is not yet the goal, only the threshold. Śaraṇāgati is the doorway into pure bhakti: one passes through it inward, one does not stop at it. Renunciation is only the entrance; beyond it the path itself begins. Mahāprabhu will not let us linger even at the doorway of surrender.
