Gurudeva stops on a single word. There is a word that means the action, the function — and there is a word that means the existence, the having. The mahābhāva of Rādhikā comes to the mañjarīs only in the first way. They are always near, they are inside her heart; when the wave comes out of that heart it passes through them, and they feel it as their own. Yet the mahābhāva itself does not move into their hearts and settle there as theirs. The difference is enormous. Otherwise a maidservant would think: I am the most beloved, it is me He embraces in so many universes. The maidservants of Rādhikā do not allow such thoughts at all.
