Place mind and senses in the fire of the Name — and they become like fire itself

"Just as you keep iron in a fire, it gives up its cold gray nature and becomes red hot and shining like fire. So in the same way, if we take our … material mind and senses … in the fire of the Holy Name … everything becomes exactly like the spiritual energy."
A cold, gray iron rod stays dark and inert on its own. But put it into the fire, and after a while it glows red, becomes indistinguishable from the flame itself — now it too can burn. Your mind and senses are like that right now — cold, inert, turned toward dead matter. The Holy Name is fire. Place your mind, senses, and intelligence into it through sincere chanting, and gradually they will grow red-hot and become like spiritual energy.
Don't throw the iron away as useless — just keep it in the fire of the Name.
