Before you touch your beads, pause for one breath. The One you are about to call is not an idea of God, not a blue cartoon boy, not a distant symbol. He is Krishna Himself, not different from His Name: abhinnatvān nāma-nāminoḥ. He fits entirely into this sound and comes to rest on your tongue. And there is an honest measure: exactly how much you love to chant is exactly how much you love Krishna. Don't judge yourself for it.
