We love to lay the path out in steps: śraddhā, niṣṭhā, ruci, āsakti… But Śrī Prem Prayojan Prabhu reminds us: bhakti is so powerful that there are really only two stages. The first: you simply utter "Hare Krishna," and this very first Name destroys everything impure. The second: you meet Krishna Himself, and the Name bestows prema. All the intermediate steps exist only for those carrying a long history of offenses that needs to be dissolved. Don't complicate japa with schemes of progress.
