The sakhīs bring Kṛṣṇa to where Rādhikā waits, arrange the meeting — and step aside. He embraces her, and in that moment they are in complete ecstasy. Gurudeva warns plainly against misreading it: the sakhīs are in mādhurya-rasa, they love Kṛṣṇa with a lover's love themselves. When He is away they feel separation and long to see Him; when He is near and reaches to touch them, they protest. The whole of that love goes into bringing Rādhikā to Him. And the happiness that reaches them from her embrace is ten million times greater than if Kṛṣṇa embraced them Himself.
